An Untapped National Asset

Across the UK, a substantial body of knowledge, judgement and practical experience sits outside the conventional workforce—not because its owners have nothing more to offer, but because traditional employment no longer suits their circumstances

Valuable expertise becomes available for many reasons. Retirement is only one. Redundancy, restructuring, career breaks and changing personal circumstances can leave highly capable people outside conventional employment while they still have much to contribute.

ExEx will provide a route through which that knowledge and experience can remain economically and socially productive—through consultancy, interim assignments, mentoring, project work and voluntary contribution.

The individual benefits from renewed opportunity and purpose. The organisation gains expertise it might otherwise struggle to find or afford. The wider economy recovers value from a resource that already exists but is too often left unused.

ExEx releases the economic and social value of expertise that already exists.
