Draft for legal review
Role of ExEx
ExEx provides Verification Coordination/Management. ExEx does not hold itself out as the independent verifier where a specialist third party performs the check.
Possible checks
- Identity using appropriate official documents or an approved digital identity process.
- Residential address/status where relevant.
- Career history, employment or business references.
- Qualifications, accreditations and professional memberships.
- Right to Work, DBS, sanctions, credit or other assignment-specific checks where lawful and relevant.
- Insurance or other supporting evidence where appropriate.
Independent providers
Where an independent provider is used, the Expertise Partner may be required to contract directly with that provider. ExEx may arrange, administer and, where agreed, pay the provider on the Expertise Partner's behalf as part of a Verification Management Fee.
Verification outcome
ExEx may record an outcome such as Verified, Further Information Required or Not Applicable, together with the date and scope of the check. A verification outcome applies only to the matters actually checked and should not be interpreted as a guarantee.
Data minimisation
ExEx will seek to retain verification outcomes and necessary evidence rather than unnecessary copies of identity documents. Personal data will be handled in accordance with the Privacy & Data Protection Notice.
Accuracy and continuing duty
The person being verified must provide genuine and accurate information and notify ExEx of material changes that could make a previous verification misleading.
Assignment-specific checks
A general ExEx verification does not remove the need for additional checks required by law, regulation, insurance or the Client for a particular assignment.
