The Founder’s Story

Retired from management. Not retired from wanting to contribute.

Four years ago, I stepped away from the SaaS business that my son and I had built over more than twenty years. The business continues to grow by around 20% each year without my day-to-day involvement.

Like millions of others, I discovered that although I had retired from managing a business, I had not retired from wanting to contribute. I remained intellectually curious, continued to see opportunities and still wanted to solve problems—but did not want another full-time executive role.

That experience became the inspiration for ExEx.

In my seventies now, I see my role as founder and architect: to develop the concept, validate the market, establish the business model and build sound foundations.

The next stage requires a younger, entrepreneurial leadership team with the energy, digital expertise and commercial drive to scale ExEx nationally and, in time, internationally.

Ideas have little value unless they survive their creator. My ambition is not simply to build a successful company, but to create an institution that continues unlocking human expertise for generations to come.
