Ted had spent much of his career working as a freelance mergers and acquisitions manager, frequently on behalf of banks.

His assignments were not always comfortable ones. He was often brought into failing businesses to assess the position, take control of difficult situations, determine whether a turnaround was possible and, where necessary, organise an orderly wind-down and sale of assets.

After stepping away from full-time work, Ted had no desire to return to the relentless demands of his former career. What he did have was decades of judgement that could be enormously valuable to business owners, investors and organisations facing complex decisions.
